The Law of Esteem
The third law of persuasion identifies that all humans need and want praise, recognition, and acceptance. Persuasive messages can become more effective if we learn how to praise people while also maintaining their attention. It is natural for us to seek the appreciation of others within our lives. The law of esteem initiates praise and approval within the persuasive element. A decent example of this is Uncle Sam. Uncle Sam is a character created in order to foster willingness for men to join the ranks of the US Army. His direct and assertive nature allows for the individual to feel special by tying him in with something larger than himself.

Law of Involvement
The Law of involvement is the first law of persuasion.
The law of involvement, as part of the twelve universal laws of persuasion, is meant to engage the message receiver within the persuasive element. The engagement is what actively persuades someone to believe a message. We are all aware of this tactic within advertising. Ad campaigns can effectively target large audiences while making the consumer do all the legwork. Technology has made this tactic essential to tapping into an incredibly diverse and ever changing pool of possible customers.
Research into new trending ideas is essential to involve any audience. This requires a sender to know their audience. I'm thinking a lot about the role that young adults and teenagers play in all of this. The drive for consumer strategists and analysts to grab hold of fans and endorsers becomes complex in this way.

Law of Connectivity
The Law of Connectivity has everything to do with modern media, well.... all these laws do. The halo effect, similar is familiar, people skills, and rapport; make up the collection of factors that define this law. A young adult in America today is able to be witness to a continual barrage of apparent and subliminal signals that are all persuasive. The Law of Connectivity focuses on the personal aspects of persuasion. It's still within advertising, but has more to do with the individuals involved. Celebrities and public figures are somewhat expected and required to maintain these skills as part of their livelihood. They can make or break a career. It's a shame that these skills can be used negatively. With the right recipe someone can create a persona that markets them as someone completely removed from their original self.
